Bernards Needs a Pause on Development

Bernards Township is choking on overdevelopment. We need to stop, assess where we are, and determine what actions we can take to protect the quality of life that brought so many of us here in the first place.

When I am elected to the Bernards Township Committee, I will propose a one-year moratorium on new developments that would add to our school population.

That one-year pause would give us time to evaluate the impact of continued growth on our schools, infrastructure, traffic, public services, and taxpayers, while organizing residents to demand meaningful changes from Trenton.

New Jersey’s state mandates are forcing communities like ours to absorb development decisions that should be made with far greater local input and accountability. I believe Bernards Township needs someone willing to challenge that system.

I will take on what I call the Trenton Mandate Machine and fight for greater local control over the future of our community because overdevelopment is not just another issue: it is one of the greatest threats to the charm , affordability, and quality of life of Bernards Township.

We need to act before more of what makes this town special is lost. I am prepared to fight that fight.
