Bernards Township families are being asked to pay more again.

This year, the Bernards Township municipal tax levy increased 3.44%, while the Board of Education tax levy increased 4.98%.

Meanwhile, the latest U.S. inflation rate is 3.4% for the 12 months ending July 2026. At some point, we have to ask a basic question:

How much more can taxpayers afford?

The answer can't always be another tax increase. When I am elected to the Bernards Township Committee this November, one of my first priorities will be a top-to-bottom, line-by-line review of municipal spending.

My goal will be straightforward: find opportunities to control spending and keep future municipal tax increases at or below the rate of inflation whenever reasonably possible.

I will bring more than promises to that work. As an attorney, I have experience negotiating, structuring, and managing complex commercial transactions. I also have business experience in procurement and supply chain management, where controlling costs, negotiating effectively, and demanding value are part of the job.

This experience matters!

I am running because I don't believe continually rising taxes should simply be accepted as normal.

Bernards taxpayers deserve someone on the Township Committee who will scrutinize every dollar and fight to make government more affordable.
