Let's Focus On What's Important

Dear Bernards Township Republican voters and friends,
I want to share a few thoughts about this year’s Primary Election. But first, a word of
thanks.
Vanathi and I are incredibly grateful for having been selected by the Bernards Township
Republican Municipal Committee (BTRMC) to be the endorsed Republican candidates
at this important time. Your confidence in us as the most qualified and electable
candidates is greatly appreciated. Special thanks to the entire BTRMC Executive
Committee, and all of you who have contributed so much by making phone calls,
canvassing, contacting friends and neighbors, helping with signs and contributing to our
social media. Vanathi and I can’t thank you enough.
My approach in this primary has been to focus on the problems and challenges we face
and how we can fight these on behalf of all Bernards residents. Fighting harmful
Democrat policies and oppressive mandates from Trenton, but not resorting to petty
attacks on fellow Republicans. We all know that is not what we want as friends and
neighbors and that such divisions and baseless attacks only help the Democrats. We
need to be focusing on what comes next in the November General Election. To me, it’s
all about the issues, not personalities or pet peeves or personal agendas.
New Jersey is in big trouble, and we cannot let Bernards fall into the same traps!
Let’s review the Democrats’ record of mismanagement:
1. A 3 Billion dollar structural deficit.
2. Debt amounting to 209.5 Billion dollars, for which the Democrats have no
realistic plan except more and more taxes.
3. Unemployment of 5.4% which is, if not the highest, close to the highest in the
USA.
4. Skyrocketing taxes which are, if not the highest, close to the highest in the USA.
5. A hostile business climate forcing employers to leave New Jersey.
6. Ridiculously high utility bills.
7. Overdevelopment mandates destroying our communities.
8. School funding cuts driven by years of fiscal mismanagement.
9. Out of control medical costs.
Of course, this is not a complete list but simply highlights the trouble we are in.
Clearly, the State of New Jersey has been mismanaged. Vanathi and I will not let that
happen to Bernards Township!
We ask for your support and vote as we seek to keep Bernards the incredible town you chose when you moved here.
