It’s broken, unfair, and unsustainable. And Trenton Democrats seem perfectly happy keeping it that way.
The formula is so complicated that almost no one truly understands how the money is distributed. But one thing is clear: many Republican-leaning communities get punished while Democrat-controlled areas often receive more funding.
The state claims “wealth” is part of the equation. But how they define wealth? Good luck getting a straight answer.
Here’s the real problem: Successful schools often get LESS money. Struggling schools often get MORE. We are rewarding failure.
