This primary election needs your attention and your participation.

In Bernards Township, Republican candidates are not simply self-selected. They go through a screening process conducted by members of the Bernards Township Republican Municipal Committee (BTRMC), who are elected by you - the voters of Bernards Township. This process exists for a reason: to evaluate candidates based on their experience, qualifications, commitment to the community, and ability to effectively serve.
The BTRMC is made up of dedicated volunteers, your neighbors, who give their time, energy, and expertise to help ensure strong leadership for our town. These are individuals who care deeply about Bernards. They attend meetings, review candidates, ask tough questions, and ultimately make informed decisions about endorsements.
Because of their diligence and commitment, we can have confidence in the candidates they endorse. The screening process is not symbolic. It is substantive. It is designed to identify candidates who are prepared to lead, who understand the issues facing Bernards Township, and who have demonstrated the ability to deliver results.
Don’t be misled by candidates who sought the endorsement but did not earn it.
That is why it is so important for voters to pay attention in this primary.
In a competitive screening process with multiple candidates for limited spots, not every candidate earns the committee’s endorsement. The endorsement is a clear signal to voters that these candidates have been thoroughly reviewed, have successfully completed that vetting process, and have earned the trust of those who know the community best.
Paul Humbert and Vanathi Raghupathy are the only candidates who have earned the official endorsement of the BTRMC. That endorsement reflects both their qualifications and the confidence the committee has in their ability to serve Bernards Township well.

When you head to the polls you are not just choosing names, you are choosing leadership. By supporting the endorsed candidates, you are also supporting a process built on careful consideration, local knowledge, and a genuine desire to make Bernards Township an even better place to live.
This primary matters. Your vote matters. And the work of the BTRMC members, who have already done the hard work of evaluating these candidates, deserves your trust and your support.
